Course Description

One of the key elements of a strong safety culture is understanding how proper staffing and hiring practices can affect your risk to potential workers’ compensation claims. Staffing is arguably the most important function of management. We will review some basic tactics to help reduce your risk in the on-boarding process. In addition, we will also discuss the components of a comprehensive substance abuse program. Did you know that 1/3 of all incidents on construction jobsites are drug or alcohol related? Companies with substance abuse programs in place are more than 60 percent safer than those without an implemented program.
